Heretical opinions

Ola:“Ey, it smells like Nimm2.”

Peter: “Perhaps the best thing about the quality of this coffee is that … at the same time it was released by several other respectable roasters. Coincidence? Yes. In any case, there is everything one would like to find in this natural. High sweetness, a bouquet of flowers in the nostrils perfectly arranged layers, and, well, balance! And this one, as in Kenny Belaey, the guy who rode his bike on a tape over a precipice and didn’t kill himself.”

Bombe is actually the name of a village within the operations of Daye Bensa, a company founded by brothers, Asefa and Mulugeta. We deal with coffees from them year after year and always rave about the quality. But it’s hard not to marvel when here’s a blend consisting of ancient Ethiopian botanical varieties, an impressive growing height and the skilfulness of the professionals working on these coffees.

Here a classic Ethiopian natural, practiced for hundreds of years. That is, the coffee is dried throughout the fruit. But clean, sweet and floral, like many a good washed. Prima sorcik!
