NEW for filter and esko! This is our first flight from this farm from Guatemala. Lots of sugar and caramel sweetness with red fruits in the background. Well balanced with medium, ripe acidity.

Heretical opinions
Peter: Anacafe 14 has revolutionized Guatemalan growers’ crops in recent years. Large yields, high quality potential and relatively high resistance to the most common diseases afflicting the coffee tree – it worked! In the cup, the classic Acatenango profile: high sweetness, purity, balance and a pronounced fruit character.

TREATMENT
The harvested fruit is shelled and ferments itself in a tank for 24 hours. It all takes place in a small washing station built by the Melendez sisters several years ago. Then there’s the classic option: the grains are dried on the patio until they reach optimum moisture content.
FARMA
Monte Verde is about two sisters who jointly manage a small farm. For a long time, they sold their entire harvest to a nearby cooperative. A few years ago they built a small washing station and became partially independent! This is the first year we bought coffee from Zielona Gora. A fairly new botanical developed by Guatemala’s Anacafe Institute, the variety offers purity, sweetness and an obvious fruity character. Good for you!
