Nooo, please. On the thick is going on here, because if it’s not the best, it’s definitely the TOP3 Kenya we’ve ever had on the menu. The complexity, depth, transparency and clarity of the flavor notes swept us off the board. We have little of that, so whoever is first to know.

Heretical opinions

Ola: “One of the best Kenyan coffees I’ve ever drunk. So many strawberries and raspberries there that you wonder if someone poured fruit juice into your cup, and when you make sure it’s coffee after all, you have second thoughts about whether it’s still coffee at all.”

FARMA

Kainamui is a group of many local farmers, run by the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) – a group characterized by truly exceptional coffees and several “success stories.” In addition to great beans, producers in this group get a very large percentage of the coffee price, as well as financial support for school tuition, for example.

TREATMENT

Washed processing is to Kenya as vodka on the table is to Polish name days. Typical and a must have! Before the grains are stripped of their dignity…, sorry, of their cherries, they are first sorted. Then they spend the night doing crazy things, in the sense that they ferment. The next day splash water on the mussel! Well, and then from eight to as many as fourteen days of drying….
